One way Igniting Ministry celebrates and recognizes efforts of local congregations to receive newcomers is certification of Welcoming Congregations.

By attending training events or by using Igniting Ministry resources, your church can be designated a Welcoming Congregation, receive a wooden plaque (sent at no cost to you) recognizing its efforts, and have a welcoming seal added to its listing in the ZIP finder church database http://www.unitedmethodist.org.
