A FEW FACTS ABOUT DIRECT-MAIL ADS
Direct-mail advertising is a powerful marketing tool if done correctly. No
other medium allows you to target your audience so exactly. And you will know
almost immediately if your direct-mail adverting program is a success, and what
your return on investment is because it is an immediate response medium. People
either respond immediately, or they don't.
In order to achieve the full impact of a direct-mail campaign, we strongly
recommend that any direct-mail effort be simultaneously supported by another
type of outreach, such as newspaper or radio. Keep in mind you can expect a 1
percent - 3 percent response range from a direct-mail campaign of 1,000+ cards.
Mailing list companies can provide very specific, very
targeted lists. The key is to know who your best prospects are. The more
specific you can be with your mailing, the better you will do. Remember, the
most important item for success with your direct-mail advertising is the
quality of your mailing list. Look in your local Yellow Pages for direct-mail
companies.
